Herbs Production Senior Officer –Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the role:

The Herb Production Senior Officer will be based in the Al Shwaib area near Al Ain in the Abu Dhabi Emirate.  They will manage and oversee the operations of a consolidated group of farms that will be contracted/leased for the production of various varieties of leafy herbs for fresh supply to Supermarkets throughout the UAE.

This is a field position that will involve considerable on-farm work involving farm business management principles, the development of farming practices for herb production and the practical introduction and application thereof. This will require raising levels of skills and knowledge among farm workers in an on-farm context in order to efficiently produce the required crop volumes with a high quality.  Integral to this will be liaising with the packhouse supervisor to coordinate the daily harvest in-line with the retail sales demand.
