Production Supervisor

Job description:
Supervision – Serve as a trainer and coach to subordinates. If an employee doesn’t perform as expected, it is the incumbent’s responsibility to help the employee meet expectations and succeed in the job. Resolve issues among employees. Assign and oversee personnel to achieve labor efficiency targets, productivity and cycle time. Communicate and implement flow team decisions and company policies on the production floor. Ensure safe operating practices. Create team player mindset among employees and lead by example.Process Improvement - Work with Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer to establish process methods which produce consistently high quality output. Identify and take action on production inefficiencies. Establish a quality mindset on the production line. Ensure and maintain a clean and well-organized production floor environment.Production floor organization – Organize daily production based on the input from the planning & scheduling department. Set production priorities and take immediate action on production flow disruptions. Report the daily production status to the other flow team members. Organize and evaluate (cross) training of production employees.Environmental, Health & Safety - Implement the Atlas Copco “Safety First” policy with the vision of zero work related accidents. Take all necessary actions to install sustainable processes to safeguard the Groups’ targets for Quality/Environment/Safety and Health.

Mission:
The production supervisor is responsible for assuring safe, efficient, and timely operation of the assigned production line(s). This position is the first point of contact for the production line assembler and is the critical connection between the production floor and the planning & scheduling department. The production supervisor is also an important team member in all production improvement projects such as 5S and process audits.

Experience requirements:
- 5+ years of experience and demonstrated leadership and coaching skills in a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge:
• Experience Coaching and Training others• Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and products.• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and/or work instructions as well as electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently• Ability to work regular and overtime hours as required by business needs.

Educational requirements:
High School diploma, Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
