Job description:
The Flow Team Coach manufacturing is responsible for overseeing and directing the assembly operations for the Atlas Copco portable air compressor line through effective coaching of the flow team members (manufacturing engineer, production supervisor, and planner/schedulers). This position is also responsible for continous improvement projects on safety, quality, and production efficiency. As a result, a flow team coach manufacturing works together with other departments such as purchasing, engineering, quality, and finance.Process Improvement - As part of the safety committee, create and ensure a safe working environment for the assigned assembly lines. Promote quality mindset and closely follow up production related quality issues. Identify and take action on production inefficiencies with projects centered around 5S and lean manufacturing. Follow up on production inventory levels. Analyze and improve production processes in order to make optimal use of available production resources.Product Support- Follow up and support daily production activities. Typical activities are ( but not limited to): following up customer orders on hand, capacity planning, setting priorities, communicating with and resolving issues with other departments.Supervision- Follow up on the workload and performance of the manufacturing engineer, production supervisor, and planning/ schedulers. Create a work environment that supports communication and team work. Closely follow up on new product development projects from a production perspective, to ensure a smooth phase out/ phase in on the designated production lines.
Experience requirements:
Experience requirements5+ years experience achieving results in a fast-paced, challenging manufacturing environment.Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate a team.Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment.Experience with production assembly processes, materials management, production planning, and manufacturing operating systems is an absolute must.Experience with continous improvement projects is required.
Knowledge:
KnowledgeThe flow team coach manufacturing should be a trainer and coach, and be able to motivate and develop a team.Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formAbility to use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint to create reports and presentations.Prioritization, organization and analysis are key skills for this position.Educational requirements

Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
