Contract - Production Technician

With a joint portfolio producing over 100 kboe/ day, our goal is to continue building a truly excellent Exploration and Production business in Europe E&P.
Position Summary
The 2014 Barge Campaign requires additional Temporary Contract Operators to assist the existing Platform Operations Team. They will report directly to the Offshore Team Leader (OTL).
Key Accountabilities
- Assist current Everest Operations Team.
- Condition monitoring, log completion and operation of platform systems.
- Monitor Pressure Build Ups (PBU’s) on isolations.
- Gast Testing for vessel entries, hot work and break of containments.
- ISSOW and platform Audits.
- Ensure adequate handovers take place at shift change and crew change.
- Use relevent platform procedures in place to carry out Operational tasks.
- Report any defects to the platform OTL.
- Act as a Performing Authority (PA) when required to take out routine WCC’s for operational tasks.
- Liaise closely with other PA’s to ensure any SIMOPS issues are recognised.
- When acting as a PA will carry out pre-job safety toolbox talks with other members of the work party.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
- Will be able to work in an offshore team structure.
- Previous experience offshore as a production technician or onshore refinery.
- Undersatding of UK offshore legislation.
- Understanding of ISSOW and SIRPS.
- Fully conversant with block diagrams, PFD’s, P&ID’s, data sheets and cause and effects charts.
