Regional Sales Manager - Eastern Canada

Job description:

In order to better support the ambitious growth of our aftermarket business, we are looking for a pro-active Regional Sales Manager who will be focused on improving the management of our sales team in Eastern Canada and ultimately improving the service level of existing and potential customers.

Mission:

Your mission will be to secure the best performance in sales and profitability on Canadian market according to the Group's vision "First in Mind – First in Choice". 
More specifically, you will manage the sales activities in order to reach a target of 1/1 ratio of Atlas Copco installed equipment being serviced by our organization and to raise the level of the service delivered promoting actively the "Climb the Ladder" concept. 
To achieve this performance, you will have to get a clear understanding of the market, to design a realistic and efficient business plan covering all the aspects of the marketing mix (product, people, place, promotion, price) and implement it operationally with the support of the Company organization and actively interacting with the Product Companies. 
A key part of your mission will be to manage a Sales team: Having the right person at the right place, defining individual objectives, ensuring the proper skills are developed and maintained, following up the performances and correcting the deviations. 
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for some major key customers. You will also be responsible for development of sales and increasing customer share with these key accounts and building long term relationships. While you will have to deliver daily results in line with the targets, you will anticipate and prepare medium term plans. 
You will actively participate in the negotiation of major projects and will collaborate actively with the equipment sales team. In coordination with the Business Line Manager, you will also represent the company in the industry-related organization/commissions/associations.

Knowledge:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Lotus Notes, web, databases);
  • Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy;
  • High level of financial and business acumen;
  • CT product knowledge.

Personality requirements:

  • You are a strongly motivated and pro-active person, target and result oriented;
  • You have strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills, sound commercial awareness and a drive for success;
  • Willingness to travel intensively in Eastern Canada to meet customers and to coach Sales Representatives in the field;
  • Ambitious personality with excellent commercial, diplomatic and negotiating skills;
  • Able to manage people and create trustworthy and fair relations;
  • These skills should be combined with keen interest in the culture and the way of doing business in Canada.

This position will ideally be based in Montreal, Quebec, however, consideration will be given to the right candidate.
