Job Description
The Organization:Since 1974, IFDC has focused on increasing and sustaining food security and agricultural productivity in over 100 developing countries through the development and transfer of effective and environmentally sound crop nutrient technology and agribusiness expertise. IFDC enables smallholder farmers in developing countries to increase agricultural productivity, generate economic growth and practice environmental stewardship by enhancing their ability to manage mineral and organic fertilizers responsibly and participate profitability in input and output markets.
The Role: The Software Development Internprovides support for the Office of Operations (OoP).
Responsibilities:
  • Basic programming or scripting tasks around automation or tools development
  • Data collection and management
  • Updating software tools
Required Skills
Knowledge and skills:
  • Course work completed in programming languages and databases, specifically JAVA
  • Database development and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and work experience:
  • Computer Science or Computer Information Systems Majors
  • Junior or Senior status for Bachelor Degree students
  • 12 hours per week minimum, flexible scheduling
