About the role
 
This is a unique opportunity to lead and evolve a new small team of digital analysts. The team's remit is to deliver commercial and customer reporting and insight, to shape the performance of global direct selling and servicing channels across British Airways. Your team will be responsible for delivering a deeper insight into operational and commercial performance, and the customer experience, of our global direct channels.

About the day to day

  • Leads, develops and motivates a team to deliver; maintain & optimise ba.com reporting including scorecards at a weekly, monthly, annual and adhoc basis. Examples are monthly business review presentations and team briefing presentations
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Leads and evolves team ability to interpret data and create insights across our direct selling channels. Uses this insight to suggest and drive decision-making, project development and action and in operational and commercial plans
  • Creates and executes roadmap for building web analytics capability working with stakeholders key interfaces
  • Works in partnership with colleagues across Commercial to evolve ways of working; deliver cross-channel performance visibility and insight
  • Source competitor monitoring and benchmarking to understand market dynamics, interprets results and drive decisions and action
  • Responsible for benefit tracking and evaluation process of campaigns
  • Works in partnership with Business Intelligence and relevant data architects to ensure data governance and organisation is optimised and continuously improved
  • Agree with architect and implement robust governance for web analytics data across BA group of users (BA; BAH; Avios)
  • Works in partnership with external research agencies to extract and exploit external research and insight
  • Proactively suggests ideas for continuous improvement and seek/identifies commercial, customer and omnichannel opportunities/solutions:

About you

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Strong influencing ability to senior level to drive support for ideas and action
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills; attention to detail
  • Highly skilled in data extraction and exploitation in direct channel operational and commercial systems
  • Ability to critically evaluate data and draw conclusions and insights from analysis
  • Ability to communicate results and recommendations clearly to drive actions
  • Strong customer awareness, commercially astute both strategically and analytically, with ability to see application of data insights to business problems
  • Proactive with high level of enthusiasm, energy and resilience
  • Excellent structured approach
  • Strong experience in interpreting insight and data for the business to drive change
  • Experience of modelling large volumes of complex data from different sources, including multivariate testing and integrating quantitative & qualitative data
  • Detailed and expert knowledge of query tools, e.g. Adobe Insight, Business Objects, SAS/SQL (desirable)
