Senior/Principal Economist, Financial Markets

The BIS has an opening for an experienced economist in the Financial Markets unit of its Monetary and Economic Department. This is your opportunity to work at the hub of central bank cooperation, analysing global financial market developments and policies, researching financial issues, and representing the BIS at international conferences.

You have a PhD or equivalent work experience, with an emphasis on financial markets, international macroeconomics or international finance. You combine a strong research background with several years of experience in applying economic analysis to real-world situations. In addition, you have excellent drafting and communication skills in English.
