Research Fellow

The Centre for Business in Society (CBiS) is the research hub for the Faculty of Business and Law at Coventry University.  Through understanding the impact of organisations’ activities, behaviours and policies, our research promotes responsibility and seeks better outcomes for economies, environments and societies.
By interrogating the impact of organisations on economies, environments and societies our teams are (a) examining the circular economy, sustainable supply and ethical consumption; (b) searching for durable and inclusive economic growth models, with new partnerships between state, economy and society; (c) exploring at the national, organisational and individual level the economic and social impacts of the financial crisis and financialisation, encouraging responsible finance for nations, organisations and individuals; and (d) addressing the implications of digital and big data for business, society and the economy, in particular the use, privacy and security of data in organisations and society.
The post holder will be part of a dynamic team, actively contributing to the research strategy and activities of CBiS, particularly in supporting and developing the work of the Centre’s key clusters.  Candidates must have an established track record of creating and managing research projects in one of the areas detailed above, attracting funding, delivering REFable outputs and of collaborating across disciplines.  Further details are available from Professor Lyndon Simkin, Executive Director of CBiS.
Closing date: 9th January 2017.
