Project Implementation Manager
The Arab League Education, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is currently seeking a candidate who will work as a project manager to supervise two important projects partially funded by the World Bank.
Tasks
The Candidate's main duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Support effective implementation of program activities in liaison with ALECSO and the World Bank, following a pre-determined timeframe; Maintain seamless coordination with all active project stakeholders;
- Monitor and advise on fund disbursement; manage and maintain accounts ensuring that the fiduciary information requirements of the World Bank fund are adequately addressed.
- Develop suitable reporting formats adapted to project management financial information requirements as may be agreed upon with the World Bank and donor partners.
- Any related tasks that maybe required by Senior Management.
Qualifications
The profile of the ideal candidate will -among others- include:
- M.A. degree or equivalent in relevant field (Business, HEC, International development, etc)
- At least 10 years of experience, of which 5 years directly relevant work experience, preferably in the region or in the international arena in project implementation and management.
- Excellent writing & communication skills in English (candidate will be interviewed in English as well as Arabic).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work pleasantly and effectively with team members.
Contract Period and Payment
Candidate remuneration will be between 4000 and 6000 US dollars according to candidate qualifications. The contract duration is 3 years with a six month probation period starting from 1st September 2011
