IPPF is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organizations working with and for communities and individuals. IPPF aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by campaigning for sexual and reproductive health and rights through the provision of services and through advocacy, especially for poor and vulnerable people across the globe.

IPPF Africa Region, one of six regions, plays a key role promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights, including family planning, in sub-Saharan Africa through its network of Member Associations in 42 countries and their associated 38,000 local volunteers, who are the backbone of service implementation. We are known for leading the Maputo Plan of Action, the first continental framework for sexual and reproductive health and we continue to work with notable success with the Africa Union, regional economic commissions and the Pan African Parliament, as well as global UN bodies.

Following the promotion of the current post-holder to the role of Director-General, a vacancy has arisen for Regional Director.

IPPF now seeks an inspirational, confident and strategic individual deeply committed to its mission who will lead the Africa Region to complete the implementation of its Strategic Framework. Able to demonstrate experience working at senior level in complex organizations, you will engage volunteers and staff to unite around a clearly prioritized delivery plan, mobilizing resources effectively through the Region. You will contribute, as part of the Director-General?s Senior Team, to the international management and leadership of the organization.
