Chief Training & Development Officer
(One permanent position exists in the Human Capacity Development division at Head Office, Pretoria)
(Salary level 11: R406 839 all-inclusive remuneration package per annum) (Ref. No. 03/09/11HO)
Key performance areas: • Conduct statistical training, assessment and moderation • Ensure timeous and quality delivery of statistical training interventions or services in line with identified learner requirements and ETQA guidelines • Facilitate training at national, provincial and regional level • Manage training programmes relating to materials developed and training delivery • Develop curriculum and materials for a variety of programmes • Collaborate with staff and external stakeholders in research work • Participate in establishing and controlling a skills database • Lead, guide and direct a team of professionals.
Prerequisites: • A 3-year tertiary qualification in Statistics/Demography/Econometrics • A postgraduate qualification would be advantageous • At least 6 years' experience in the field of training and development • A course in Education, Training and Development, as well as training in Project Management, is essential • Experience in writing materials according to SAQA and NQF regulations.
Person profile: This position will suit a person who: • Has excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, report writing, organising, research and computer skills • Is able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure • Is able to meet deadlines and work long hours, even on weekends.
