| Duties: The successful applicant will be required to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. The candidate should be able to i) teach the following courses construction technology, contract administration and construction management (ii) supervise student research projects and (iii) conduct and produce results of scholarly work in the discipline of Construction Technology Management and (iv) perform administrative and other duties as assigned by the Head of department. The department reserves the right to allocate other courses in addition to those outlined above. Requirements: Lecturer: The candidate should possess (i) an undergraduate degree in any area of construction engineering or technology, construction management, quantity surveying or related discipline (ii) a Masters Degree in Construction or Project Management obtained from a recognized University (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service Senior Lecturer: The candidate should have (i) an undergraduate degree in any area of construction engineering or technology, construction management, quantity surveying and a Masters Degree in Construction or Project Management obtained from a recognized University, (ii) at least three (3) years teaching experience at the rank of Lecturer or higher at a recognized University or comparable institution, iii) at least six (6) publications, 4 of which are peer reviewed journal articles, lead and/or single author in at least 2 refereed journal articles or book chapters and iv) demonstrate evidence of sustained research output v) demonstrate evidence of service to the University, the profession and the community Associate professor: The candidate should have (i) an undergraduate and master’s degree in any area of construction engineering or technology, construction management, quantity surveying, a PhD in Construction or Project Management will be an added advantage, (ii) at least five (5) years teaching experience at a recognized university, (iii) at least twelve (12) publications, 8 of which are peer reviewed journal articles, lead and/or single author in at least 6 refereed journal articles or book chapters, (iv) demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, (v) evidence of service to the university , the profession and the community, and(vi)the ability to attract funding from international sources is an added advantage. Professor: The candidate should have (i) an undergraduate and master’s degree in any area of construction engineering or technology, construction management, quantity surveying, a PhD in Construction or Project Management will be an added advantage, (ii) at least eight (8) years teaching experience at a recognized university, (iii) at least twenty four (24) publications, 12 of which are peer reviewed journal articles, lead and/or single author in at least 10 refereed journal articles or book chapters, (iv) demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, (v) evidence of service to the university , the profession and the community, and (vi) the ability to attract funding from international sources is an added advantage.
