Regional Manager

The successful candidate will manage the full spectrum of both operations and sales for the KwaZulu-Natal region. He/she will mainly be responsible for financial management, including setting and achieving budgets, 5-year plans, sales, volumes, revenue and margins on all product lines and within all customer segments. The effectiveness of operations, including management and budgeting of all operational expenses for the region, will also be his/her responsibility. Further requirements encompass the management of human resources, customer relations and continuous growth and improvement.

In order to apply, candidates will need a minimum of a relevant tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) at NQF level 6, plus at least 5 years’ experience in timber sales and marketing and around 5 years at management level within a results-driven industrial environment. 3 years’ experience in managing employees in line with relevant employment legislation, the ability to take responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment aspects and some 3 years’ experience in the financial issues of a high-budget business are also needed, along with a high level of computer competency in normal Microsoft business packages.
