    ActionAid works with local people in more than 45 countries to fight hunger and disease, seek justice and education for women, hold companies and governments to account and help communities cope with emergencies. As a member of our International Directorate, you’ll support our fundraising programmes by ensuring our performance analysis and reporting is as effective as possible across the whole of our organisation, and provide the market insight required to guide organisational decisions, plans and investment.. You’ll also manage the allocation aspect of our child sponsorship programme, ensuring that we meet the needs of supporters in our different markets whilst ensuring that the appropriate income flows to our country programmes.

    The Head of Evaluation and Accountability provides leadership and advice in supporting the organisation to meet its accountability, learning and planning system (ALPS) requirements at all levels, ensuring that the system remains dynamic and relevant. Through this role, effective and appropriate methodologies and frameworks for measuring progress and impact at a global level is developed. This Senior Manager sets the optimum levels of learning, reporting and accountability as well as then ensuring that they are met.

    Through engagement both within the federation and external forums and debates on accountability, impact assessment and learning approaches and methodologies, this role will learn from and positively influence the practice and policies of other agencies, donors and institutions. The position will ensure as well as document the highest standards of accountability which can be used to influence the sector.

    The Head of Planning and Information Management leads on and coordinates the International Secretariat and Federation Planning and Reporting processes and systems, ensuring alignment of different IS and Federation wide financial planning processes, developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators in line with the approved international strategy and overseeing the preparation of the annual report and report to the Global Accountability charter. This role will be pivotal to re-invigorate Management Information Systems.

    The Sustainability Advisor is responsible for leading the alignment of organizational systems with the principles of sustainable development and advocating for the integration of sustainable principles and practices into operations and procedures across the ActionAid federation.

    The Advisor will:

    · Ensure that ActionAid is accountable to all with respect to environmental impact.

    · Support the long-term viability of ActionAid by reducing resource use and associated cost; and will foster organizational innovation that results in reduction of environmental impact and improved work systems.

    · Support the transformation of ActionAid to one where Staff and volunteers are aware of the implications of day-to-day choices they make in the workplace on the environment and on the lives of rights-holders; and we are a model for our employees and our communities of a responsible and sustainable organization.

    Committed to providing immediate relief and setting up long-term projects that help communities rebuild their lives and prepare them for future disasters and conflicts at ActionAid we’re working hard to reduce vulnerability to disasters. As Team Business Manager you will help achieve this by developing and implementing tools and systems to increase team efficiency, monitoring financials and budgets.

    Lead ActionAid’s innovative project on women’s rights and sustainable agriculture in Africa!

    Over the next four years ActionAid will implement a groundbreaking project that aims to build sustainable livelihoods for women smallholder farmers in Ghana and Rwanda. The project will pilot practical solutions to reduce the unpaid care work of women farmers as part of a comprehensive approach to improving women farmers’ productivity and household food and nutrition security. ActionAid is looking for a dynamic project manager with considerable experience working with rural women’s organisations in Africa. The project manager will provide leadership and guide the project implementation in Ghana and Rwanda. A key part of this project will be to engage with regional policy makers in Africa as part of ActionAid’s advocacy on advancing women farmers rights and recognition in agriculture. This is a perfect role for a proven project manager with expertise on women’s rights and agriculture in Africa, and a great opportunity for someone who is looking to broaden their regional expertise across the continent.

    The Emergencies and Crises team is looking to recruit a Humanitarian Policy Coordinator. The Humanitarian Policy Coordinator will coordinate and lead ActionAid’s (AA) overall policy and advocacy work within the humanitarian context. This will involve promoting and strengthening national level policy work, and linking into international advocacy and influencing processes in line with Strategic Objective 4 of the International Strategy as well as ensuring integration in all Strategic Objectives.

    The Advocacy Coordinator develops effective influencing strategies to advance AAI’s priority campaigns by identifying and seizing relevant opportunities to engage pressure and persuade relevant international, regional, sub-regional, and national actors in Asia.

    The role coordinates member countries in Asia to implement these strategies and works with content specialists, campaigners and communications staff in the Secretariat and in member countries to ensure that policy, media and campaign ‘products’ and events are well targeted for Asian actors when needed.

    You will further coordinate with regional allies to develop strategies for dealing with institutions and provides information and views from an Asian perspective to AAI’s advocacy, policy, and campaigning processes. You will also assist policy/advocacy/campaigns staff in Asian country offices with strategic advice and knowledge.
