Manager Business Support: Compliance, Money Laundering and FICA Standard Bank

To assist Personal and Business Banking (PBB) in complying with the various regulatory and compliance requirements as identified and agreed by the group. The role will encompass owning and driving the PBB Business view and interest in the various regulatory and compliance forums, initiatives and projects. This means acting as the first point of interaction between Business and the various compliance and regulatory functions internally and externally to the Bank with the objective being to ensure there is balance between the stated business strategies and the implemented compliance requirements.

The role will also provide business support to the Money Laundering and Control (MLC) function within PBB, including assisting with the implementation of strategic, project management and operational principles for effective management of the various compliance requirements including FICA, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), CTR and CPA across the PBB Channels and Product areas. The provision of an analytical framework for the monitoring of routine controls in the prevention of avoidable regulatory non-compliance also falls within the responsibilities of this role. Desired Skills & Experience

• 3 year degree (legal degree preferred)
• Certificate in Compliance Risk Management is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years experience in a regulatory role within the banking industry
• Sound knowledge knowledge of banking and banking practices
• Thorough knowledge of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act and its impact on the Bank.
• Understanding other regulations influencing financial services e.g. CPA
• Understanding of auditing principles
• Experience in project management principles
• Computer literate (MS Office)
