•The  new procurement organisation have a number of these roles where the  category can be managed locally/cluster, regionally & Globally.
•This  role will give a high level of siport of Local Category Manager PUB  driven the hole stratetgy for Mkt spend to deliver the business  benefits/needs for PUB (Paraguay,Uruguay e Brasil )
DIMENSION
a) Financial
• Total A&P budget for Marketing Spend (Demand) £ 78 m
•This role will be significant in contributing towards our overall cost savings of GBP 3.5 for FY 12 thought strategic Sourcing
b) Market Complexity
This role will be located in Brazil and be responsible for the Procurement Marketing Category.
Aspects of complexity include:
•The number of brands to support is 7
•The number of suppliers currently providing goods & services in this category is 30
•The critical budget holder who will need to be engaged with for this category is 7.
•Managing  the performance of key agencies thought performance reviews involving  brand team stakeholders. The role will also lead fee negotiations on  yearly work plans, initiate and run agencies pitch, monitor and approve  all significant production Budget, facilitate disputes, etc. All of  above will be performance in close consultation with Stakeholders and  the brands creative agencies..
• Marketing & Trade  Marketing are critical categories and manage them accordable is very  important, so is require to develop excellent working relationship with  Consumer, Customer and Innovation Marketing teams, finance and sudit..
c) Leadership Responsibilities
•Lead the category 
•Source from the marketplace
•Recommend final source
•Manage implementation
•Manage  strategic elements of supplier relationships driving increased value  from a large variety of supplier relationships from a open market  commodity purchases to a long-term single sourced relationship, driving  excellence on SPM and SRM
Increase Diageo’s  expertise in the category and also in the overall category management  process across the cluster when possible.
Effectively manage total category program through great execution of the individual projects within the Local Category Manager.
Ensure appropriate contractual agreements exist within the category to minimize the risk to Diageo.
Implement agreed Corporate Citizenship programs with category suppliers.
Engage and involve Key stakeholders and senior sponsorship in local mkt.
Purpose of Role
Manage  and negociate the Category for BTL, including event, pr, experiential  marketing, CPR as well among other small categories related spending in  line with 
Diageo’s procurement imperatives:
• Risk Management
• Quality
• Service
• Cost
• Innovation / growth support
• Corporate Citizenship
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
1. Procurement understanding and market due diligence
2. Controlling spend and high level of influence.
3. Controlling and manage tracking saving for Marketing Categories
4. Achievement of targeted KPI’s for category, covering Risk, Quality, Service, Growth/innovation, Corporate Citizenship
5. Mobilises resources (cross demand centre & cross-functional) to support effective management of designated category
Qualifications and Experience Required
Qualifications:
• University Degree in quantitative or commercially biased discipline
• Marketing degree would be great
Marketing Understanding is the key
• Purchasing qualification desirable 
• Strategic Thinking is need
Experience:
Must have 3 –5 years experience which should include the following:
• Significant procurement responsibilities in a leading edge company
• Direct functional exposure with correspondent categories.
• Some experience in working with other key stakeholder functions, e.g. Marketing, Trade Marketing, 
• Demonstrable a high level of engagement and
influence
