PlaNet Finance in the Middle East
PlaNet Finance Middle East manages microfinance programs in many countries of the region: Egypt, Oman, Lebanon, Bahrain, Syria, and Palestinian Territories... PlaNet Finance Middle East is composed of 3 permanent offices:
• PlaNet Finance Egypt: This office is the coordinating office for PlaNet Finance Middle East activities and is dedicated to the development of microfinance sector in Egypt. It also aims at developing a range of expertise in the region.
• PlaNet Finance Palestinian Territories: This office is dedicated to the development of microfinance program in the Palestinian Territories, with specific political and economic conditions.
• PlaNet Finance Dubai: The office is in charge of fundraising for the development of the microfinance sector in the region.
Job description
> Project Coordination
? Coordinating and supervising the implementation of the activities of a 2 year project related to the promotion of microfinance and microenterprise in Egypt
? Ensuring the effective participation of the PF partners in the project implementation
? Participating to the draft of deliverables in collaboration with Microfinance Experts
? Participating to financial and technical reporting for European Union and other donors
? Monitor the project expenditures according to the budget and produce the financial reporting
> Contribution to PlaNet Finance Middle East projects (50% of the time)
? Support the team in identifying opportunities for new partnerships and projects: Participating in the design of new projects, Drafting proposals for different donors
? Support the team in communication activities, organisation of events
Qualification
? Master (Economics, Finance, Political Sciences…..)
? Minimum of 2 years Experience in economic development and/or microfinance and/or business development for micro and small enterprise
? Minimum of 5 years in project coordination
? Strong organisation and analytical skills
? Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, oral/presentation) for internal and external reporting
? Ability to operate in a cross-cultural working environment
? Ability to work under high pressure
? Ability to work in a team and be able to work with autonomy
? Ability to travel within Egypt and the region (around 25% of the time)
? Fluency in English and Arabic – ability to work in both languages (both written and spoken)
Conditions
> Statut : VSI (Volunteer of International Solidarity) or Local Egyptian contract
> Duration : 12 month minimum (1st March or 1 st April 2012)
> Indemnity : based on PF scale
? For VSI, expenses and insurance related to travelling from country of residence to Cairo are covered
> Localisation : Cairo, Egypt
