Senior Gender Advisor
We are currently seeking a Senior Gender Advisor for a USAID-funded Agricultural Commercialization & Innovation (AC&I) Activity. The AC&I Activity will have four components: (1) agricultural technology commercialization, (2) partnership development, (3) investment design and modeling, and (4) knowledge management. The AC&I Activity will support the FtF Initiative by addressing constraints to increased access to inputs such as seed, feed, fertilizer, machinery, and irrigation systems at the right time, the right price, and in the right amounts, in concert with partners to develop private input industries, organize private dealer networks, expand sustainable irrigation and water management, and strengthen farmer organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead advisor overseeing gender integration into all processes and activities in the program
- Lead a small team in developing gender trainings and workshops as applicable to agricultural commercialization and the partnership development
- Advise in developing strategies and plans to improve the economic participation rate of women and systemic changes within the labor force and businesses
- Monitor and report project progress and resource utilization
- Other tasks as needed.
