Communications and Research Volunteer - Gender and Development Network


DURATION: 6 to 9 months
VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE: 
1 to 2 days per week. Flexible
RECOMPENSE: Reasonable travel and lunch allowance paid
LOCATION: Central London
CLOSING DATE: 10th March 2013 midnight
This volunteer role with the Gender and Development Network at ActionAid is a great opportunity to use your skills and interest in communications in a major international charity while gaining valuable work experience and playing a part in helping to build a fair and just world where everyone can claim their rights.
Join us and you will support communications activities within the group from updating websites to researching relevant issues within the programme both at regional and international level. You will assist in producing our newsletter, updating social media, processing membership applications and generally help ensure the team runs smoothly.
You’ll be the kind of person who has an interest in communications/marketing, is highly organised and possesses good PC skills. Good at writing and researching content you will also be a strong team player who is able take the initiative and prioritise work- loads when needed. A good standard of English is essential.
