About the Clean Lakes Alliance and Yahara Pride Farms:
The Clean Lakes Alliance (CLA) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the water quality of area lakes, streams and wetlands in the Yahara River Watershed. Working closely with state, county and local government agencies, waterway user groups, stakeholders, farmers and riparian owners, CLA serves as a positive voice in promotion of our cherished lakes and a fundraising arm for project execution. The Clean Lakes Alliance is proud to be a founding partner of the Yahara Pride Farms (YPF) which is comprised of certified farmers and landowners dedicated to improving environmental performance in the Yahara Watershed and Dane County. YPF strives to preserve the local dairy heritage; continuing agriculture and promoting environmental stewardship as a way of doing business that will result in the preservation and enhancement of high quality soil and water resources not only for today but for generations to come. We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Clean Lakes Alliance and Yahara Pride Farms team as part of our internship program. This is a unique internship opportunity, which will include a variety of activities related to the environmental and economic factors that influence farmer experiences in the local agricultural industry.

The internship is an excellent opportunity to work directly with farmers, the business community and government regulators in a cooperative environment working together to protect community resources. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The Clean Lakes Alliance is located at 150 East Gilman Street, Suite 2600 in Madison WI 53703. Candidates must be flexible and may work evening and/or weekend events as requested.
