Job PurposeTo be accountable for all aspects of IT solutions and services for Alliances including:
  • ensuring that new implementations are project managed and delivered on time
  • managing technical resources to maintain the systems in scope, deliver testing & new implementations
  • ensuring that system issues relating to alliance partners are investigated and addressed on a timely basis
  • ensure regular status reporting on new projects and system issues
Responsibilities
  • Technical specialist providing standard business solutions, services and support, according to defined processes
  • Key relationship manager for Alliance systems responsible for establishing and maintaining productive working relationships across the business. Manages technical relationships with internal departments including Alliance relationship managers, loyalty team, IT stakeholders, revenue management, CRC and ground services systems team.
  • Accountable for technical relationship with key external partners including Sabre and the GDSs and all alliance partners
  • Accountable for a direct team of 2 and management of an external service provider’s testing team to an annually agreed budget of approximately $300-400,000
  • Defines overall test strategy and delivers testing solution to budget and timescales for new alliance implementations
  • Responsible for tracking workloads, materials, activities and resource hours and availability. Then make recommendations to ensure maximum utilisation and reduce potential downtime or slippage due to resource conflicts or availability restrictions.
  • Accountable to ensure system issues are reported, assessed and action taken to restore service and fix the root cause by IT, Sabre and other service providers in accordance with their SLAs. Accountable to ensure that business critical issues are managed and resolved with urgency appropriate to the issue
RequirementsQualification & Education:
Degree level education
Experience
  • 6-8 years of PSS systems experience is required
  • 6-8 year management experience
  • Experience in general IT related competencies
  • Experience with methods and techniques for structured reviews
  • Airline experience is required, airline commercial experience would be beneficial
  • Experience in managing testing teams
Training & Knowledge:
  • Good understanding of PSS products, specifically SabreSonic
  • Good knowledge of end user computing hardware and software products
