BiD Network’s mission is to contribute to sustainable economic growth in emerging countries through entrepreneurship. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of any economy. By creating jobs and income, they are crucial to the economic and social development of emerging markets. They are also a powerful force against poverty. However, businesses often encounter difficulties getting started or growing because they lack access to finance and know how.
BiD Network aims to:
·         Start and grow businesses in emerging markets
·         Create jobs and income through these businesses
·         Mobilize private capital and know-how to businesses
BiD Network focuses on high growth businesses based in emerging markets with a financing need of US$10,000 to US$5,000,000 over the next five years. We provide professional services to entrepreneurs, coaches, investors, business angels and SME service providers. An international network of partners in 16 countries makes this possible.
Matchmaker
BiD Network is looking for a driven and professional matchmaker who facilitates access to finance for SMEs in emerging markets, by connecting entrepreneurs and investors. The matchmaker is responsible for achieving BiD Network’s investor matchmaking results within several projects:
·         Identifying finance ready plans;
·         Identifying investors that are willing to invest in emerging markets entrepreneurs;
·         Building and maintaining a network of quality entrepreneurs and active investors;
·         Facilitate the investment process between entrepreneurs and investors, resulting in matches;
·         Follow up on matches made;
·         Train partner staff in investor matchmaking.
You will be part of the customer services team of BiD Network that serves entrepreneurs, coaches, investors and group moderators. Within this team your expertise is matchmaking.
Skills and competences
·         HBO or Academic education;
·         Extensive knowledge of business planning and financial analysis;
·         Experience in working with entrepreneurs and investors;
·         Selling and negotiation skills;
·         Communication skills;
·         Project management skills;
·         Accuracy in administration;
·         Excellent oral and written skills of Dutch, English and Spanish language;
·         Knowledge of and affinity with emerging markets.
You should be available to work at our office in Amsterdam and have a Dutch working permit. We offer a challenging experience within an international business environment.
