To join our Aids Fonds programme we are looking for a
Programme Manager Health and Rights for Key Populations
(36 hours per week)
Background
An alliance of 5 Dutch organisations (Aids Fonds, AFEW, COC, GNP+ and Mainline) is at the mid-term of an international programme on HIV, health and human rights for key populations. These key populations are Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender people, Sex Workers and People who Use Drugs.
In addition to global activities, the programme is concentrating on 16 countries in 4 regions (Eastern Europe and Central Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, South and South-East Asia and Latin America).
The programme runs from September 2011 until December 2015. Aids Fonds is the lead agency for this programme and hosts the Programme Manager and his/her team
Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Coordinating and facillitating the implementation of the programme
  • Planning and coordinating workplans, budgets and reports
  • Liaising between the Board, the Programme Team and the global partners
  • Implement the communication strategy and a structure for linking and learning  
  • Monitoring and making recommendations based on the outcomes of the programme
  • Manage a team of 6 professionals
Your salary will be between € 3.300 and  € 4.925 gross per month. You will be offered a fixed term contract of 1 year, after which the contract can be extended for 1,5 years depending on your performance.
Requirements and competencies
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing complex international programmes
  • Ability to facilitate dynamic group processes and to optimise the use of expertise from programme partners
  • Experience and/or affinity with development co-operation, HIV and key populations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and  strong leadership skills
  • Good English and Dutch language skills, both written and spoken
  • Masters degree in relevant field and experience in programme management
