Performance Reporting Specialist - Port Moresby, PNG

The HHISP is an Australian Government AusAID funded project that supports the implementation of the Health and HIV programs on behalf of AusAID and GoPNG, with its overarching objectives being to improve maternal and child health outcomes and deliver increased health and HIV services to the rural majority and high risk populations in support of the Partnership for Development Outcomes. The project is managed by Abt JTA in association with the Burnet Institute.
 An opportunity exists for an experienced professional to provide high-level report writing for the development and management of all HHISP plans, reports and publications, including associated contextual analyses and supporting documentation, and case studies.
 Working within the HHISP Program Office, the successful individual will work closely with the senior management team and other staff on; developing briefing papers and proposals for funding, ensuring the contractual reports due-dates are achieved and tracked, coordinating the development and writing of the twice-yearly HHISP Implementation Performance Reports, and providing support with the development of HHISP manuals, procedures and processes.
 A high standard of reporting is expected (including report content, technical information, formatting, spelling and grammar) and the ability to form strong and productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders is essential.  Successful candidates will have:
 10 years’ combined relevant education and professional experience, including at least seven years’ experience working in a relevant context, preferably with experience in large-scale and complex development programs, internationally or in Australia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working in health and HIV and AIDS programs an advantage.
  • Experience in program design, management and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Journalism, history or Social Sciences (related to international development, research or similar)
  • Exceptional analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences and produce high level reports.
  • Experience working in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific Region will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously, with a high degree of initiative.
  • High level interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships across broad emographics.
