Intercompanies Accountant
Position Summary
This is a temporary role (6 months) in the Intercompany Section within BG Group Finance. The section is part of the Cost Control and Recovery team and manages the Intercompany recharges across BG Group's Assets and the reconciliation of the Intercompany accounts.
Key Accountabilities
· Generate Intercompany debit Notes (ICDN) via an Access database
· Collect supporting documents as required to back up the charges
· Scan ICDNs and supporting documents to be attached to journals in SAP
· Deal with associated queries, liaising with the Assets and other Finance sections and Group Functions
· Participate in the processing of intercompany transactions, as required. This includes the posting entries in SAP and reconciliations
· Interacting with Head Office departments and contacts in the Assets to resolve any queries and provide support on intercompany matters
· Maintenance of good relationships and lines of communication with all interfaces.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
- Part-qualified accountant {Accountancy oriented} or significant experience in similar business services roles, preferably acquired in multinational organisations
- A working knowledge of SAP (FI-CO modules and BI) would be an advantage
- Computer literate individual with good knowledge of MS Office including Excel skills
- A working knowledge of Access would be advantageous
- Proactive individual able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate and work with personnel across the organisation
- Accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work with large volumes of data
- Flexibility and willingness to support the team in non-routine tasks, when required
