Access to Masters (ATM) Scholarships 2014

Swansea University -College of Engineering

Introduction:
The College of Engineering has scholarships available for students embarking on an MSc course in September 2013 as part of the Access to Masters (ATM) programme.
ATM is a £20 million initiative aimed at increasing the number of highly skilled workers in Wales. The scholarships are part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the European Union’s Convergence programme administered by the Welsh Government.
Each student will undertake a project assigned to a local company, giving you the opportunity to apply your knowledge within a 'real life' business environment and increase your employability. 
Courses offered within the ATM scheme include:
  • MSc Aerospace Engineering
  • MSc Chemical Engineering
  • MSc Computer Modelling and Finite Element in Engineering Mechanics
  • MSc Civil Engineering
  • MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • MSc Electronics Technology for Sustainable Energy
  • MSc Materials Engineering
  • MSc Nanoscience to Nanotechnology
Candidate eligibility:
Residency
Due to funding restrictions scholarships are available only to new MSc applicants who are UK/EU categorized students.
Academic Criteria
Applicants will need to hold or be expecting to achieve a minimum of a 2.2 honours degree (or equivalent).
Studentship value:
Scholarships will cover the full UK/EU tuition fees, as well as a student living costs award of at least £5,695 (tax free).
The scholarships are part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the European Union’s Convergence programme administered by the Welsh Government.
