Business partner and planning accountant

Christian Aid aims to eradicate poverty across the world. But to do so we need strong management information. By managing and communicating an effective planning and budgeting system, and business partnering with two key non finance departments, you will ensure that the organisation can plan and allocate its resources as effectively as possible.
You will take the responsibility to manage, communicate and constantly improve the financial planning and budgeting process and ensure it meets the needs of budget holders, senior managers, directors and trustees. During the budget process you will support budget holders, not only in the UK and Ireland, but also in the 45 countries we are working in, and engage them to produce their budget on a timely and accurate basis. You will produce consolidated budget analyses to allow the organisation budget as effectively as possible. You will take the lead in the development and delivery of financial planning training; manage the budget ledgers on the SUN accounting system.
You will be business partner for two key departments, providing expert support and advice to the Director and budget holders by being an integral part of the management team, advising and supporting on financial decision making, preparing analysis and management reports, providing budgeting advice. You will also line manage a part-qualified role.
A fully qualified accountant, you will come to us with substantial financial experience, including the management of complex planning/budgeting systems and the preparation of management reports and analyses, preferably within a multicurrency environment. You will have experience of business partnering with non-finance stakeholders at a senior level, as well as exceptional communication skills.
