The Organisation

Our assets in Trinidad and Tobago are vitally important to BG Group, with gas being supplied to the domestic market and fed into Atlantic LNG for export, primarily to North America. We supply gas to three of four LNG trains at Atlantic LNG in which we are also a shareholder. This represents fully integrated projects involving production and liquefaction, shipping and re-gasification for onward sale into the US market. Our current exploration focus is the phased development of the North Coast Marine Area.

Position Summary

Your specialist advice will not only be instrumental in driving and maintaining geological excellence across all projects on the site. It will also help us find and develop good technical staff, apply innovative new technology, improve processes and enhance work schedules.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Integration of geological and geophysical techniques with production data to generate consistent geological interpretations fit for field developments.
• Integrating geoscience effort in the discovered fields to ensure that reservoir models accurately represent the range of possible subsurface scenarios
• Meaningfully integrate large and diverse datasets to optimise development decisions
• Construction of 3D static geological models for input to reservoir engineering simulation models and development optimization.
• Carry out reservoir modeling uncertainty studies to define range of outcomes and determine options for development planning and maximizing reserves recovery
• Performing multiple modeling iterations in collaboration with asset reservoir engineers to improve history matching based on dynamic well/reservoir performance in a complex mature field
• Determination of well placements, optimization of well trajectories and definition of associated data acquisition plans
• Implement BG best practice in data management
• Generation of geotechnical documents & geological well BOD prior to drilling and monitoring of wells during drilling from a geological viewpoint
• Determine studies, data acquisition plans and reviews required to reduce uncertainty range, further evaluate and understand reservoir behavior.
