Executive Travel & Fleet

The Position:
Sandvik is seeking a resource with deep Travel sourcing and supplier management experience to help customers drive tangible results. In this capacity, you will work directly with Sandvik clients with responsibility for delivering category management services including, but not limited to, strategic sourcing, client stakeholder management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement.
The Job:-
  • Design and implement cost savings projects across multiple Travel sub-categories including Hotels, Air, Agencies, Car Rentals, and Corporate Cards
  • Engage with customers' senior management team members to drive and communicate progress.
  • Measure and manage "suppliers'" (aka providers, agencies, etc.) performance relative to contracted service levels.
  • Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform total cost of ownership evaluations, perform supply-market research and conduct pricing audits and impact analysis for the pursuit of continuous cost improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and customer stakeholders to identify and execute continuous cost and performance improvement strategies.
    • Develop and manage business requirements related to travel/Air Tickets and Hotel bookings of the organisation
    • Preparation of Requests for Information Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Request for Quotation (RFQs) from Airlines/Hotels/car providers
    • Preparations for auctioning or/eAuctioning,
    • Recommendations to Internal customers/ Internal Helpdesk.
    • Monitor the performance/SLA's of the service providers
    • Contracts, Tendering, RFP Floating, Pre bid meeting, Receiving Quotations from vendors & follow up with them, Internal Estimation, Negotiation with vendors vendor development management, post contract contractors evaluation etc
  • Develops and administer (in the initial stage) agreements and master contracts (as appropriate) in collaboration with the business and legal department minimizing spending on Travel,Hotel booking
Desired Skills & Experience:-
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of contract fundamentals, ability to effectively interact with legal, Compliance, Finance department and stake holders on need basis.
  • Ability to quickly gather and analyze data, and grasp customer requirements under time constraints in a changing environment.
  • Fluency in MS Excel, Word mandatory; PowerPoint plus.
  • Superior written and oral communications skills.
  • A bachelor's degree. IATA desirable but not necessary.
  • Exp.- 5- 10 years.
  • Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to global travel services.
  • Experience with corporate travel management required.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple Travel categories including Hotels, Air, Agencies, Car Rentals, and Corporate Cards.
  • Ability to design analytical reports, and create/implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
This is a one year contract basis position extendable at the sole discretion of management and/or candidate's suitability.
