External review of Christian Aid PPA programmes

Christian Aid is currently looking for experienced consultant/s and/or consultancy organisations to carry out a review of work funded through Christian Aid’s Programme Partnership Arrangement with DFID. We are particularly interested in applications that can demonstrate significant experience carrying out evaluations of partnership-based agencies and can also demonstrate strong gender based and cultural diversity.
Christian Aid believes that poverty is rooted in unjust structures and unequal power relations that polarise society and leave significant sections of the population marginalised and powerless. Christian Aid works with partners to challenge and transform those structures and relations. Christian Aid entered into a Global Programme Partnership Arrangement with DFID (2011-2014) with two strands, General PPA (£5,995,867) and the Conflict, Security, Justice, and Humanitarian (CSJH) PPA (£1,260,000), totalling £7,255,867 million per annum. The centres of operation are in Latin America, Africa and Asia and the Middle East.
The key purpose of the evaluation to assess the effectiveness of Christian Aid’s Resilient Livelihoods Framework in achieving sustainable and transformative outcomes for vulnerable individuals.
Applicants need to demonstrate familiarity with building resilience in both humanitarian and chronic poverty contexts in the stated locations.
