Finance and Administration Manager

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced and accomplished accounts professional to head our finance, accounts, back-office operations and administration. The Finance & Admin Manager (FAM) is a key and senior position in the organization, reporting to the General Manager. The FAM has the overall responsibility for accounts & book keeping, financial management, reporting, MIS, compliance, payroll management, overall support to operations and ensuring that the finance and administration team is client-focused and client-responsive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely maintenance of the books of accounts, preparation of accounts and financial statements on a monthly basis. Send the required management reports on time.
• Implement and follow a process oriented approach to maintenance of various books of accounts, ensure accuracy of monthly reconciliation of general ledger and accounts.
• Ensure strict application and compliance of company’s financial management policies, procedures & controls. Ensure regulatory compliance and timely payment of various taxes and reporting.
• Timely preparation of payroll and adherence to required HR policies and regulatory requirements. Administer and manage payroll and employee benefits.
• Manage the audit process. Organize, coordinate and provide various documents for audit.
• Develop a sound understanding of the Core IT and MIS systems being used for managing day to day operations. Ensure timely updating of client, loan and operational data. Manage the overall loan approval and disbursement process.
• Plan and manage SPBD budgets, finances and banking accounts. Assist GM in fund raising activities and public relations.
• Train, develop and mentor the accounts and administration team. Plan, coordinate and manage staff activities and workload.
• Maintain, safeguard and facilitate updating of all HR personnel files. Ensure compliance with labour laws. Assist the General Manager in updating personnel policies as and when needed.
• Ensure effective use and management of SPBD assets and strict compliance of related policies.
• Manage the competitive procurement process for all relevant purchases 
• Lead the office and the team in the absence of GM

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant with strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
• 6-10 years’ experience, preferably in a financial institution or heading the finance & accounts function in a professionally managed organization.
• Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in independently managing various responsibilities in accounts and finance function.
• Advanced IT skills in terms of working on various accounts and MIS applications. 
• Good team management, inter-personal and communication skills.
