Chief Operating Officer

Reach to Teach is an exciting and rapidly growing charity that invests and works with partner NGOs to provide primary education in remote, rural communities in India. 

Reach to Teach’s team of primary educators brings international best practice to on-the-ground operations.  Over 10,000 children have attended Reach to Teach programmes to date and 1,000 teachers have been trained.  Reach to Teach has plans to expand significantly over the next four years, aiming to reach 110,000 children.

The Chief Operating Officer will be part of the core senior management team.  The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for the overall delivery of programmes and projects across Reach to Teach, working closely with the Country Director for India, the Chief Finance Officer and the Director of Education to ensure programmes are of a high quality, cost effective and delivered to plan. In addition, the Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing project management systems to support our expansion.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in project management and operations in complex environments. They must operate effectively at a senior level, with strong analytical and communication skills. Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary/ consulting business and experience of working in India would both be desirable.

The role will be based in Chiswick, however the individual will be expected to spend a substantial amount of time in India and must be willing to travel at short notice if required.
