The HHISP is an Australian Aid funded project that supports the implementation of the Health and HIV programs on behalf of the Australian Government and GoPNG, with its overarching objectives being to improve maternal and child health outcomes and deliver increased health and HIV services to the rural majority and high risk populations in support of the Partnership for Development Outcomes. The project is managed by Abt JTA in association with the Burnet Institute.
In order to support the delivery of better health services in PNG through the training and deployment of qualified health workers, a consultant is being sought for a short term opportunity in PNG’s higher education sector to determine the costs inherent to training Health Workers at various training institutions. The objective of the consultation is to produce a report that clearly shows the Equivalent Full Time Student Unit (EFTSU) costs for health sector programs. The Consultant will also determine a Scope of Work and methodology including design of a costing template to be submitted to DFAT.
The successful consultant will need a background in the tertiary education sector with recent and relevant experience including the determination of costs for the delivery of programs in the Asia-Pacific region.
