Sandvik Hyperion in West Branch, MI is looking for a
Business Controller

Sandvik Hyperion, a subsidiary of Sandvik AB, is world class applied materials company. We are a global supplier of both cemented carbide and super abrasive (Diamond and Cubic Boron Nitride) products.
Key Performance Areas
The Business Controller is responsible for directing financial activities for our West Branch, MI location. You will report and present the financial outcome, business plan, and financial projection to local management. In addition, you will lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, and coordinate the annual Physical Inventory Audit. The Business Controller supports management in the day-to-day operations and makes recommendations based on corporate strategies and objectives.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Follow defined policies for assuring financial controls are in place and are being implemented
  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of financial results and information
  • Arrange audits of the company’s accounts and analyze capital budgeting requests and spend
  • Investigate and recommend improvements on production and cost variances
  • Responsible for follow-up of business plans and actions
  • Monitor raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods inventories
Your Profile
You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (MBA preferred), along with 1-3 years relevant experience in a Business Control function. You must have proven expertise with financial accounting and strong financial and analytical skills. You are proficient with Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel skills are preferred). Experience working with manufacturing companies/in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
