We are now looking for a Sales Engineer tocover the EMEA territory to sell our carbide products to the Mining, Oil & Gas industry to develop new and existing sales opportunities and increase market share.
Job summary
As a regional Sales Engineer/Project Specialist, you are a self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong technical competencies and a passion to succeed. A strong engineer with an understanding of sales, you will acquire an established customer base in the EMEA region (Mining, Oil & Gas) andyou willberequiredtogeneratesustainedsalesgrowthandexpandmarketshare. An excellent communicator, you will developexistingcustomerrelationships,andidentifynewcustomersandopportunities following the company strategy and product offering. You will be the main point of contact for customers regarding all technical and commercial interests on a day-to-day basis and you will be passionate about, and will achieve, customer satisfactionthroughsuitableselectionandapplicationofproducts. An effective team player, you will work closely with application specialists and other colleagues across the business to ensure an efficient and successful relationship with customers; You will be responsible for communication between our clients and Sandvik Hyperion. A technical expert, you will be responsible for standard commercial tasks with customers including, but not limited to, product and price presentation, order taking and follow up of offers and orders.
An interest and experience in territory management, new business development, and customer retention are pre-requisite for this role. Based in the UK, this is a home based role where 50% of your time will be spent travelling in the EMEA region; primarily throughout the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and the Middle East.
Your profile
You will be qualifiedtoHNCorequivalent,inmaterials science, mechanicalengineering,ora similardiscipline.You will possess professional experience in the technical “B2B” sales, preferably proficiency in sales of carbide components and haveexperience in supplying tool systems to the Mining, Oil & Gas Industry. You are an experienced commercial individual with a high interest for technical and engineering products with the ability and desire to act as an interface to your customer base and facilitate profitable growth. You are self-motivated and possess a highdegreeofInitiative,resourcefulness,problemsolvingand personalorganisationalskills todowhatittakestogetthejobdone. You must be fluent in English; Other language skills are advantageous.
