AusAID is the Australian Government Agency responsible for managing Australia’s overseas aid program. Australia has been a dedicated development partner to East Timor for more than 50 years. Through the development assistance program, Australia and East Timor work together to alleviate poverty and promote regional peace, stability and prosperity. We are looking for an experienced professional to take part in the exciting new position of:

Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene

This is an exciting and high profile opportunity to lead the Australian Governments engagement in rural water, sanitation and hygiene (RWASH) in Timor-Leste, during an unprecedented phase of growth in the Australian aid program. The Program Director, RWASH will lead the implementation of four year RWASH program in Timor-Leste. This program will be the second phase of the current Bee, Saneamentu no Ijiene iha Komunidade (BESIK) program funded by Australia.

The Program Director will manage a team of international advisors and locally-engaged staff, working closely with the Government of Timor-Leste executing agencies. The appointed Program Director will be located in the government counterpart offices.

An attractive remuneration package and conditions of employment will be negotiated commensurate with the demonstrated experience, expertise and skills of the successful applicant. This will include allowances such as housing, mobilisation and superannuation.
