EXTERNAL CONSULTANT TO REVIEW THE ACADEMIC PROMOTION PROCESS

The University of Mauritius wishes to recruit an External Consultant, on an assignment basis, to review its existing Academic Promotion Procedures and Criteria.

Applicants should satisfy the following profile:

a) Be of Professor grade and hold a Doctorate.
b) Have served extensively on Selection, Assessment or Advisory Panels for the Academic Promotion Process within a University framework.
c) Be able to demonstrate that exceptional distinction has been achieved and maintained in research and professional practice, where applicable.
d) Possess quality teaching and service at university level.
e) Have made significant intellectual contribution in the area of her/his specialisation.
f) Have demonstrated academic leadership.
