Job Purpose | This is a specialized senior role, responsible for the overall governance of low level design of the enterprise Infrastructure, across all technologies, ensuring compliance to the architecture standards and guidances. This is a key role in achieving virtualization and reduced data centre foot prints. | Responsibilities | You will be responsible to: -
Ensure existing infrastructure assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise -
Ensure the implemented infrastructure architecture is compliant with the enterprise architecture -
Construct, refine and maintain low level infrastructure models, as needed, to meet Business Requirements -
Ensure timely and appropriate low level infrastructure models exist to aid projects -
Develop a model management strategy in support of virtualization and scalability objectives -
Validate audit objectives and assist with creation of audit plans to ensure continued infrastructure availability and security -
Review infrastructure estate for capacity vs. demand. -
Monitor regulatory guidelines and compliance to determine impact on enterprise infrastructure architecture | Requirements | -
University degree or equivalent qualification in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering. -
7 years work experience in IT, at least 5 of which in Infrastructure design roles. Post graduate qualification desirable In addition to above, you are required to have the following: -
Extensive experience with developing Infrastructure designs and plans. -
Demonstrable knowledge of Infrastructure Architecture in large-scale systems design/deployment. -
Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products and present ideas in user-friendly language. -
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills. -
Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. -
Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. -
Good written and oral communication skills -
Ability to understanding an organisation’s goals and objectives, and present technical information with reference to these. |
