PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This role will focus on the knowledge sharing activities required to support the European CCS Demonstration Project Network Secretariat. The post holder will primarily support the Project Manager as part of the team delivering for the Network, and supporting Institute activities. Duties will typically include expert workshop facilitation, event management, content authoring, community building, data gathering and analysis, produce promotion, and elements of viral marketing to enable the on-line exchange of knowledge between diverse stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the development of knowledge products, including through the facilitation of workshops, data gathering and analysis;
  • Provide support to all Network events, including Network sharing events, and dissemination events;
  • Develop and maintain highly effective business relations with key stakeholders to ensure the Network and Institute’s knowledge sharing platform is utilised to its fullest potential;
  • Develop and implement training programs, skills development and other aspects of cultural change needed to build a knowledge community. Ensure compliance and execution of the Institute’s and the Network’s knowledge sharing governance policies, processes and procedures;
  • Manage multiple content systems that directly and indirectly support the EC’s CCS nDemonstration Project Network.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
  • Well developed writing skills with experience in publishing, journalism or similar. Excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • Proven ability to grow an offline and online community, supported by established personal networks;
  • Hands-on technical skills related to data analysis and reporting.
Desirable:
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and relationship building;
  • Experience in web development;
  • Commercial, legal or academic experience regarding elements of the carbon capture and storage value chain;
  • Experience with large - mid-size international corporate clients;
  • Experience in Energy and complex industrial product organization;
  • Experience in enterprise collaboration across corporate intranets and with partner organisations;
  • Experience in developing online communities using social media technologies (blogs, social bookmarking, wiki, newsletters, competitions, awards, surveys etc.);
  • Experience in database creation and data handling;
  • Technical experience with leading social media platforms;
  • Experience with organising events, conferences, presentations, webinars etc.
