ABOUT THE GLOBAL CCS INSTITUTE
The Global CCS Institute accelerates carbon capture and storage, a vital technology to tackle climate change and provide energy security. We advocate for CCS as a crucial component in a portfolio of technologies required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We drive the adoption of CCS as quickly and cost effectively as possible by sharing expertise, building capacity and providing advice and support to overcome challenges. Our diverse international Membership comprises governments, global corporations, small companies, research bodies and non-government organisations committed to CCS as an integral part of a low carbon future.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This role will focus on the knowledge sharing activities required to support the European CCS Demonstration Project Network Secretariat. The post holder will primarily support the Project Manager as part of the team delivering for the Network, and supporting Institute activities. Duties will include supporting the team delivering the Network, expert workshop facilitation, event management, supporting decision making bodies, content authoring, data gathering and analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Development and facilitation of workshops, data gathering and analysis;
  • Provide support to all Network events, including the Steering Committee, Advisory Forum, Network sharing events, and dissemination events;
  • Provide analysis and develop publications that support key issues being addressed by the Institute or Network;
  • Develop and maintain highly effective business relations with key stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance and execution of the Institute’s and the Network’s knowledge sharing governance policies, processes and procedures.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and relationship building;
  • Commercial, legal or academic experience regarding elements of the carbon capture and storage value chain;
  • Good understanding of all elements of the carbon capture and storage value chain;
  • Well developed writing skills, with excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • Hands-on technical skills related to data analysis and reporting;
  • Proven ability to grow an offline and online community, supported by established personal networks.
Desirable:
  • Experience with large - mid-size international corporate clients;
  • Experience in an energy or complex industrial product organization;
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of database creation and handling;
  • Experience with organising events, conferences, presentations, webinars etc.
