Programmes Finance Officer (Switzerland)

Role and Responsibilities
The Finance Officer reports to the Programmes Finance Manager. The incumbent is in charge of and contributing towards the following:  project and base budgeting, Country Programme expenses monitoring, preparation and submission of financial reports, preparation and submission of various set of reports to high management both at HQ and Country Programmes level, preparation of cash requests to donors, training of new field staffs in budgeting, fund management and related topics among others. In performing the assigned tasks, the Finance Officer contributes concretely to the overall Medair strategic goals by being valuable part of the Country Programme financial cycle.
Project Overview
The Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial support and coordination from HQ to a Country Programme assigned to his/her care and in doing so, contributing to the efficient and effective achievement of Medair strategic goals. The Country Programmes Strategy is to contribute to the development of Country Programmes strategy by providing financial sustainability, risk and private fund analysis to support informed decision making. In charge of making global Country budget structure and create various scenarios analysis on funding for the planned actions. Advice Programmes on fund management methodology, structure and on best ways to optimize use of resources.
