Market Intelligence Analyst

The International Post Corporation (IPC) seeks to recruit a market intelligence analyst for the development and production of IPC Carrier Intelligence Reports, analysing key financial, operational, strategic and market information for 50 leading postal and logistics operators from around the world.
Job specifications
  • Develop and produce IPC Carrier Intelligence Reports for programme participants;
  • Develop and maintain the IPC Statistical Database on the company’s extranet;
  • Support analysis and publication of the annual IPC Global Postal Industry Report;
  • Analyse performance of IPC members, other postal operators and key competitors;
  • Identify developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management;
  • Facilitate, with IPC members and other industry players, data collection and analysis;
  • Provide data mining and analytical support;
  • Manage ad-hoc projects.
Minimum requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in market intelligence and analysis preferred;
  • University graduate, preferably with a degree in business, finance or economics;
  • Highly numerate, strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills required;
  • Experience of application of data mining and statistical techniques a plus;
  • Able to extract, substantiate or challenge key facts and figures from annual reports and accounts and other sources;
  • Team player, able to work in an international environment that requires discretion and the ability to keep data and knowledge confidential;
  • Good knowledge of project management techniques;
  • Results orientated, pro-active, team player, able to work and actively contribute in a team environment;
  • As English is the working language of IPC, a high standard of both spoken and written English is required, other European languages a plus;
  • Entitled to live and work in Belgium.
