Research Associate (with PhD or equivalent experience): £28,132

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team involving 5 investigators and 4 Research Associates, and will utilise the social media infrastructure developed by the SiDE project, exploring the use of modern statistical modelling techniques for social media data, including social graph analysis, and modelling of network dynamics and meme propagation. You should have a first-class degree in Mathematics, Statistics or closely related discipline, or equivalent Masters level qualification. You should be a statistician with strong computational skills and experience of Bayesian modelling, ideally in a “big data” context. Experience of social networking data analysis is advantageous, but not required.
