Job purpose and key deliverablesWe have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our EEMEA Supply Chain team in Southampton.

The EMEA Supply Chain Finance Team is responsible for maintaining a strong control environment and providing value added support for cost saving initiatives driven by the Europe, Middle East and Africa Operations Shared Service Centre.

As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for:


  • Coordinating  the EEMEA transfer pricing process, validating transfer prices received from factories and managing the consolidation and communication of transfer prices for the Budget process 
  • Controlling the cost centres for EEMEA Operations ensuring timely and accurate reporting of actual and forecast costs

Principal Accountabilities:

Transfer Pricing

  • Engage with factories, Procurement and the New Product Introduction Team to complete transfer price requests enabling ordering of finished goods , semi-finished goods and wrapping materials via BATUKE and BAT DMCC. Validate the transfer price calculations provided by factories 
  • Manage the consolidation, review and issue of all transfer prices as part of the annual budget cycle. Ensure that the drivers of price changes are analysed, explained and communicated clearly to End Markets
 Accounting & Reporting

  • Work with the UK Companies Team to ensure quarterly recharging of costs through the T&A process 
  • Control the SAP ledgers for the cost centres comprising EEMEA Regional Operations. This involves delivering the month end close process , reconciling monthly payroll, ensuring the correct coding of invoices and maintaining approval matrices 
  • Deliver the quarterly forecast for the cost centres comprising EEMEA Regional Operations. This involves engaging with cost centre owners, explaining variances to the previous forecast and presenting to the EMEA Head of Finance 
  • Preparation of reports for cost centre owners comparing actual spend versus forecast 
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met for submission of actuals and forecast data is uploaded in HFM  
  • Support the Group Statutory Reporting Team by calculating unrealised profit in stocks for BAT’s half year and year end reporting 
  • Consolidate and analyse non-criminal losses for presentation to senior Management at the monthly Regional Supply & Inventory Meeting.
Projects

  • Manage the impact on the transfer pricing process from the implementation of BAT’s new SAP System (OneSAP) 
  • Work with the BATUKE Finance Team to ensure that changes to incoterms are incorporated into Budget 2015 transfer prices.
Essential requirements

  • Qualified or at final level of professional  examinations (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) 
  • A strong understanding of Excel, SAP and HFM 
  • Experience in management reporting and financial accounting 
  • Strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven track record in working in cross functional teams
