INTERNATIONAL SEARCH FOR VICE CHANCELLOR AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

A leading business group in the Middle East is undertaking an international search for one outstanding leader who fits into the role of “Vice Chancellor & Chief Executive Officer” to lead it through the setting up of a new university.

The successful candidate will require a well-developed understanding of the complex national and global market forces at play within the sector and be able to position the new university as a first class institution. An academic alliance with an established well ranked set up is already on way.

The key challenges for the Vice Chancellor will be to:

1. Guide the institution in the process of building the programs and campuses through academic and administrative leadership.
2. Operate in harmony with the local and national educational bodies.
3. Increase the understanding of higher education all across the society by advancing the academic success of the University.
4. Deliver student satisfaction by ensuring facilities which offer good value for money.
5. Create a world class set up which makes it a destination for learning for neighboring countries too.

A strong vision, an outstanding and transformative leadership, exceptional intellectual caliber, ability to inspire, an innovative attitude are some of the key requirements for the candidate who will make it to this position. Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
