The position reports to the Vice-President (Finance and Administration) and is responsible for:

  • leading the planning, implementation, and supervision of the Controller’s Department vision, strategy, and work plan in support of ADB’s goals
  • overseeing the quality of work and achieving the department’s objectives on financial reporting; the Integrated Internal Control Framework; safeguarding trust funds; authorizing loan, grant, technical assistance disbursements, and administrative expenses; improving business processes; and developing policies and procedures
  • building, strengthening, and maintaining external and internal relations, coordination, and consultation initiatives for the department
  • providing overall guidance and supervision on day-to-day operational issues
    and compliance with ADB policies

We seek candidates who have:

  • at least 15 years of professional experience in a senior controllership-related position with a large banking/financial institution, preferably a development bank or a commercial bank; with sound knowledge of the United States and International Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • a Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting,
    Finance, Information Technology, or related fields; or a University degree in
    Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related fields,
    combined with specialized experience in similar organizations, may be
    considered in lieu of a Master’s degree
