In order to do so, IRENA will facilitate access to all relevant renewable energy. It facilitates and analyses the sharing of best practices and lessons learned regarding policy frameworks, capacity-building activities, available financial mechanisms and relevant technologies on renewable energy. Responsibilities and Duties: Under the supervision of the Chief Information Technology Officer and ICT Applications Officer: -
Manages, develops and deploys the intranet portals like SharePoint 2010. -
Designs and develops software applications in .NET technology as required. -
Performs in-house quality assurance activities of software applications developed by vendors or internally and ensures that software applications are developed as per given specifications. -
Designs and develops the business workflows. -
Builds prototype of applications for review of staff members as per the given requirements. -
Minutes and updates the weekly ICT Project Management officer and tasks list. -
Runs and validates processes related to data for final outgoing product delivery. -
Provides training and functional support to the staff members and other stakeholders for assigned applications. -
Drafts related different reports and documentation. -
Manages and adapts the Applications team in line with ICT objectives. Competencies: Professionalism: Knowledge of, and ability to plan develop, design and implement software applications and perform QA of applications. Communication: Speaks and writes both clearly and effectively; ability to listen to users concerns and needs, responding appropriately; demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed. Teamwork: Works collaboratively with both colleagues within ICT department and users from the wider organization; shares credit for team accomplishments and accepts joint responsibility for team shortcomings. Planning & Organizing: Develops clear departmental goals and targets that are consistent with agreed strategies; identifies priority activities and assignments; foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning; monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary. Accountability: To ensure that all responsibilities and commitments are completed to the best of his/her ability in line with both operational objectives and organizational rules and regulations. Creativity: Ability to ‘think outside of the box’ with regards to both problem solving and identifying future ICT strategy. Qualifications Education: Minimum bachelor degree in the area of Information Technology. Certified SharePoint Application Development and Administration is required. Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in software application development especially in SharePoint, ASP.NET, workflows, SQL Server Database, HTML etc. Language: Excellent command of both written and spoken English is essential.
