As Sr. Antenna Engineer / Specialist, you are responsible to all antenna design and development activities. During the product development, the maturity and risk level is quantified and reported. Alignment to the Operators RF requirement is critical. Responsibilities include providing technical specification of antennas and collaborate with our co-development antenna engineers during entire phase of the product development, coordinating with test engineers for various OTA measurement in every build during the R&D development phase, reviewing Type Approval (TA) measurement results with R&D HW team and co-development partners, identifying and resolving phone signal reception issues for all wireless technologies.


Scope of the work:
  • Individual contributor, variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem solving and supervises supplier team on Antenna design and development.
  • If necessary, able to take complete ownership, resolve issues and implement solutions when supplier is unable.
  • Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Plan and follow up product development schedule and deliveries.
  • Makes decisions that affect own work and related teams.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, telecommunication or other relevant field in RF areas. Ph.D is preferred.
  • 6+ years of antenna development
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience of antenna concepting and simulations
  • Experience of measuring equipments like network analyzers
  • Able to work in RF laboratory
  • Knowledge of GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/LTE cellular systems
  • Good team player
  • Innovative thinking, high motivation and energy
  • Familiar with antenna manufacturing technology and able to analyze production data for meeting design target
  • Capable knowledge with Microwave and Electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. ADS, CFT, HFSS etc)
  • Hands on experience with various OTA measurement chambers and SAR equipments (e.g ETX, Satimo, DAISY 5, IndexSAR)
  • Competent in project management.
  • Experience with RF integration with Antenna, Audio, Baseband and Mechanics requirements
  • Must be able to guide and coach others, including the co-development partner's RF team.
  • Good team player with effective verbal and written communication skills
