At Oikocredit International based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a
Renewable energy manager (full-time, 36 hours)
Responsibilities
As the renewable energy specialist you will join the credit department and be mainly responsible for implementing Oikocredit's ambitious strategy to extend its portfolio in renewable energy. You will be the internal expert for development finance in the renewable energy sector, building long-term relationships with renewable energy partners. You will be given the responsibility to negotiate, realize and manage renewable energy investments from the initial contact to the exit. You will carry out an analysis of the potential partner, conduct due diligence, write and present the investment proposal, and manage and monitor the investment once the relevant credit committee has given its approval. In addition, you will be given the responsibility for building up a renewable energy unit within Oikocredit in the coming years.
Education and experience
Oikocredit is looking for someone with a Master in finance, economics and/or business and a minimum five years' experience in development finance, renewable energy or credit operations in an international environment, fund management or project management within the financial services sector. You should possess good project management skills. Thorough knowledge of English and commercial skills are essential, and a strong network in this market is an advantage. In this position about thirty per cent of your time will be spent travelling.
